RV Project AM 27MHz Micro Fine-Tune Esc Unit (4WD) miniboard

Hi
I am having a very good offer on a brand new in box RV Project AM 27MHz Micro Fine-Tune Esc Unit (4WD) miniboard, which I am planning to use with a WoahNelly or a Black Widow Spider.
Q: Other than the Fine-Tune port adjustment, which I guess wont need due to the fact I’m using an Ko Propo Helios Tx and can do all my fine tunes thru it. Is there any mayor performance differences between this RV Project AM 27MHz Micro Fine-Tune Esc Unit (4WD) miniboard and the original Kyosho AWD Miniboard unit???
Thx in advance for the info.
Cheers.

ive used this board, lots of punch as it has 8898 fets!!
the solder joints are a bit iffy but once re-done the board performs well

Hi mk2 and thx for the comment.
So the only problems with this R/C Unit miniboard are the wires?
That’s no problem, it is my custom to swap the bad quality original servo and motor wires for micro hobby servo wires (white, red, black) and the main power wires for 18g superflex silicone cover wires in order to improve conductivity. The micro hobby servo wires (white, red, black) are made with more filaments and better covered material plus very thin and flexible too, they provide better signal to the pot and more energy to the servo motor. Regarding the antenna wire, I swap the original short one for a longer one-piece Futaba FM antenna wire to achieve an incredible better signal.
About the Fine-Tune port adjustment, since I have no use for it, can I remove it (de-solder)? I have a Helios Tx in which I can fine tune to my needs.

Mk2 I intend to swap the FETs for a WoahNelly or a Black Widow Spider, I am thinking more on the Spider B-W for it’s size, since it’s only 14x11mm. Any observation here?
Cheers.

the wires that are fitted are fine, its the solder joints are not that good and break off very easy(dry joints)
you can de solder the ics plug easily with some solder braid.
nelly will handle more abuse, spider is smaller but has less power handling in my experience

Hi mk2
I just received a note from EGR Mart confirming that they will do FETs 4562s stacking service if I buy the RV Project AM 27MHz Micro Fine-Tune Esc Unit (4WD) miniboard from them, (which by the way is only $5 more than the offered one from a friend) EGR is asking for the 4562 stacking configuration I want, would you recommend 1x1 on bottom side of the RV Project PCB and 2x2 on top?
Would this configuration be the same as a 2x3 on a regular AM PCB?
I couldn’t find the Nelly and the guys from ausmicro have not reply back on three messages I send, So I guess my option will be stacking 4562s FETs BTW EGR has 8958A FETs too but I guess the 4562s are better, is this right?
Thxxx.
Cheers

it would be the same as a 2x3 on the am boards, the 4652's will handle more current but the 8958 will be smoother.
1 bottom and 2 top will be fine for the awd, just trim the top board cover a little
