I wanted to try something different on this one and picked monochromatic colors as a break all together from the actual livery which is a chrome/silver and red or bright color. For the wheels I went black with chrome forks and the livery wheel accent stripes on the forks. What I do like about this livery is that despite being a predominately black background, it's still very noticeable on track.
My latest decal batch is slightly larger scale than prior so the lettering in particular stretched farther on the body. I don't really mind this at all but was not able to fit the decals that typically go beneath the headlights as a result.
I actually prefer working with the satin black as it goes on thinner and easier to work with. It tends to be a bit more prone to orange peel from mask tape if you don't give it a full day to dry before moving on to the next color.
I have a couple more sets of this livery and wondering what to do next? I've done the accurate chrome/red, silver/orange and now monochromatic gray/black.
