we'll be setting this one up outside so we can design a new track for this one. we'd need to see who else is planning on participating and go from there on space limitations.

12'x18' is about the maximum space we have.

some of the standard point series track are this big, most are 13' wide and up to 18' long.

just wanted to confirm that isn't 12 tiles by 18 tiles?

Previous tracks have been 15' x 26' or 13' x 29' or there about.

Let me know. thanks.

run with whatever size most recent previous tracks have been. i counted carpet tiles, which were not 12x12 so guestimated however we've not had problems with track selections in the last couple years so i'm sure my estimate is just short. i failed to bring a tape measure with me

Also do you want to go with the smooth side RCP for this race?

smooth side is fine, especially if final that S22 will be smooth side. it will give everyone a chance to tune before S22, less trial and error as S22 starts.

that's what I was thinking, I'm going to have to change my track over, we'll give it a go for the Big Track as well.

Is that final confirmation smooth side? We will have to switch sides as well.

that's the way i see it as well. no real reason not to give it a try other than it's just not something we've done in over a decade. if it turns out we really don't like the experience, then we'll have the experience gained and just flip back to rough. i'd rather have tried and learned than not have tried and wonder... just my opinion though

You should be good! We flipped our track last race day. With a couple hours on it, there was very little differance in car handling. Next race day, some small adjustments in the front. Cars didnt seem as dirty either.

it seems the majority of clubs and races these days are running on the smooth side. I figure why not give it a try and see how we like it. On the plus they say tire wear is alot less and traction is just as good.

let do the BTE on the Smooth side and We'll also run Season 22 on the smooth side as well.
