We have started our new 2011 Ann Arbor Mini-ZRacer.com season! And we have decided to rejoin HowFastAreYou.com (HFAY) for its season # 11! We will be doing the HFAY races one week, and then do our personal big track race the other AA GTG week during the month. HFAY is a smaller layout than we typically do but is fun in that you can compete and compare your times to racers all around the world

So is this still going to be a big track event? I know some people were asking to switch it for this months HFAY.

I wouldn't mind too much if we do HFAY this time since I'll probably have to leave before we finish on Friday the 18th. I'd like to get all of the points races in.

The idea was supposed to be that Friday, being a later start, w/b the smaller, easier to set up HFAY night - I'm not hugely bothered either way though - it sounded like Jerry/Carlos/Jason are going to make the 18th but not the 12th and favor big track, and that works for Lawrence too - I know Norman wasn't sure if he was going to be able to come this Saturday though so don't want to screw up his HFAY series? I guess I'll add a poll to this thread and whatever the outcome is by EOD is what we'll do?

Well...I prefer big track but if we do HFAY we'll have more room to drift on the carpet..
I guess I'll abstain from this poll :P

I'll put in HFAY vote but it doesn't *REALLY* matter I guess. I probably wont be able to stay the whole time next Friday no matter which we do on which day.

I've got the kids cuz wife is out of town so probably can't make it. At most I could come and run HFAY races and leave by 9pm. But that's not looking likely at this point.

Awesome pictures! I'd love to make it out to an ALMS race this year if anyone else is interested, I've personally been wanting to see a race at Road America for a pretty long time.
I have to say, I had a really awesome time at this past event. It was great to see a prototype Fuji layout actually set up (and even sweeter being able to link the whole thing up drifting ) Having two layouts at once seemed to allow a lot more stuff to go on at once, everyone seemed to be having a great time. Not that the race nights aren't usually great, but I got the impression that people were having an exceptionally good time this past night in particular.
The RCP drifting has pretty much been completely worked out between practice, radio tuning, and possibly most important adding ballast to the front of the car. I was able to link up both (drastically different) layouts we had set up. I can't remember having this much fun drifting in the past!
A BIG thank you to Okabe for offering to help mend my poor NSX body, I really really appreciate it
You guys are all awesome, seriously. I've met a handful of cool hobby people over the years and a LOT of jerks, so I really appreciate having such a friendly/helpful/chill group to run with.
