I have a silver Peugeot 206 body from which I'd like to make a replica of Grönholm's 206 WRC.
I'd like to use the decals from the Tamiya 206 WRC 1/24 scale plastic model kit #24236 and cut it to fit. Instead of buying the model and tossing everything but the decals, I wanted to just buy the decals from Tamiya.
I e-mailed someone at Tamiya's Canadian distributor, Borgfeldt Canada, who informed me that the decal sheet by itself would cost CAN$24 (US$15). CAN$24? That sounds a little steep for a sheet of stickers. In fact, it's fully 1/2 the cost of the entire kit itself.
I guess I don't really have a choice. Anyone have any experience doing this sort of thing? Is there another source for the sticker sheet, aside from the distributor?
i was gonna get some civic model and build the model and use the Honda emblem on my bit char-g but its too expensive

Okay, I ended up getting a hold of the Tamiya 1/24 scale decals from the distributor (Borgfeldt Canada) for a decent price: CAN$14 for the two sheets. There were close to 100 decals, and I used most of them, save the interior ****pit details. Like yourself, Herman, I had to cut a few, but it was well worth the effort.
I now have pretty good scale replica of Gronholm's 206 WRC, right down to the Michelin logos on the non-functioning CLK 18-spoke wide tyres.
Between this project and my Initial D AE86 Trueno (came with the kit), I don't have a body which I'm willing to "bash around" at the local track anymore! I think it's time to pay another visit to the LHS...
