Reflex Racing F1 World Championship Replica

Ok here is what is involved with our new WC replica upgrade package:

Kyosho stainless kingpins
Atomic alloy tie rod
Kyosho alloy knuckles
Kyosho front springs
Kyosho rear springs
Kyosho carbon side plates
Atomic disk damper - REQUIRES BODY (except FW25) AND POD MODIFICATIONS!
Kyosho ball diff - rings sanded, HCCA balls, blueprinted
Atomic titanium diff shaft
Kyosho PLASTIC motor pod with modifications for disk damper, gearing and lube
Kyosho tires
MZR bearings

I will not post the price of this package on the forum without MZR's permission first.

If you want the parts installed and the car blueprinted, I will charge an extra $50. This service includes:

shimming and cementing the steering to take away the "wandering"
rewiring the battery terminals
routing motor wires to clear the body (IMPORTANT)
modifying body to clear disk damper (SOMETIMES VERY EXTENSIVE! NOT PRETTY )
raising the front bumper for ground clearance

Please make sure that your F1 is in GOOD condition (i.e. - close to box stock new) for either of these options. No broken or worn parts. These parts were selected to work together in concert. Individually, they are the best quality parts available. The package is the result of many testing and racing hours and every part has a purpose. There is no bling here.

I was just wondering how and why you raise the front bumper if you don't mind answering the question. what does raising the wing do? Does it stop the car from going under the rails?

Why is right there. More ground clearance. Push the nose of your F1 down and you'll see that the bumper almost hits the ground on some and DOES hit on most. When you lift for a corner and turn in, the weight is transferred to the outside front. This tire does most of the turning and if the bumper hits, then the wheel will be levered, less weight will transfer, less load on the tire, less friction, less turn-in. Basically the car will kind of wash out. You raise it just by shaving here and there. Nothing big. Just takes some time and patience. It's just part of the build process, making sure nothing drags, nothing binds, nothing sticks, nothing slips, nothing is loose when it shouldn't be.

BTW, the only way to keep the car from going under the rails is to quit hitting them...

Forgot that the package includes our Reflex Racing antenna and Motor Hooch.

Retail value of the package is $207. Again I will not post the price of the package without MZR's permission.

Installation and blueprinting will be $50 and a few extra bucks off the package to help encourage you guys to let me work on your car. I think you'll be very happy with the results.

Dang it. I forgot the Kyosho wheelnuts. Oh well. Same pricing. I'll throw those in.

ZZ - the steering pot is engaged by 2 pegs that hold it in position. There is about 3 degrees of slop at this interface. I like to use shoe goo or some other removable cement to lock it into place. The F1 has additional play in the plate with the pegs and the clear plastic chassis. I usually use something thin to shim this in one direction or the other. Now when I whack the wall, the steering stays true and I don't have to tap the centering adjustment on the next straightaway!

p.s. how did those 23d slick custom grooved fronts work out?....
my 30d's understeered and the 20d's oversteered on that LA track...
i just never got it as good as my home track handling.....

The 23 slicks were the ticket. The handcut grooves had a little more traction in the front, but I never really needed them. I'll be working on a setup based on the 20 grooves that are readily available soon. No point on buildling a setup around a discontinued tire.

Visibly the car doesn't look that different from anything else. Just a little aluminum up front, an Atomic disk damper in back and cleaner wiring is all that really stands out. The devil is in the details though! It's wearing a new Williams FW25 body (that I won!) now, so I'll take some pics of the garage later tonight.
