RCP outdoor racing

I've been racing mini-z's on RCP with my buddies in my garage. Half the track is on my garage floor and the other half pushes onto the driveway. Attached is one of the layouts.

In the SoCal winter we definitely see the cars start to lose traction on the driveway half. Anyone have any tips on keeping grip?

I like to think of variation like that as an additional challenge, just like real racing. Sometimes there's been an oil spill on a corner, sometimes you have to switch to rain tires, etc.

That said, I'd insulate the bottom as much as possible, maybe a bunch of flattened corrugated cardboard?

Thanks! I'll give it a shot.
