Wow...how cool are those tracks! If only I was made of money and owned a mansion big enough to fit a huge one of these tracks

hehe, this was actually posted awhile back. but that's okay!

i like how the family in the pictures are sitting on the far end of the track but they can't possibly see their own cars -- which are over a hill and around a corner haha.

This has been posted before, its 60,000$ CAN for a starter (oval) and 2 Mini-Z... the start finish line sign, yes just the sign, is about 40$ USD.

Are you serious??? Do they really sell those at that price??? That is rediculous. No wonder everyone makes their own.

I knew it was going to be expensive when I saw the Mini z's for sale on the site were $250 each

track pieces

Did anyone notice that the track pieces sort of look like painted puzzle mats? They appear to connect almost the same way.

Individual Track Pieces

Here is their selection of individual track pieces.

http://www.couchracing.com/html/orde...open_stock.htm

Yes it looks like prepared interlocking mats, except there are curved sections that I wonder how they made.

Couch Racing Systems

Their website talks a little about pricing, it says:

"An affordable Couch Racing® System is nearing completion.
Release Date: April 3, 2002

Consumer Starter Set prices expected to be under $150 (Cdn. Funds).

The Consumer System will have many of the unique characteristics of the Commercial System set but will be affordable in price."
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

As of this moment, $150 Canadian is worth $97.72 US.
At that price you could add a few optional pieces and still not spend too much.

This system is totally sick. There is no way that any PVC set up can be compared to self leveling tracks with jumps and hazzards. In any event, we won't have long to wait to get accurate pricing, April is just around the corner.
