How to remove Kyosho Drift Tires from rims?

Ok I give up... lol. How the devil do you remove the drift tires from a rim?

I want to move them to a new body/rim Autoscale and can't figure out how to get them off for the life of me (at least without destroying them or the rims).

Anyone got any tips?

Cheers
Tim

Im not much of a drifter, so not much experience with drift tires. What I do know, is that they are a pain to get off.

Have you tried chilling the wheel in fridge or freezer, then using a hairdryer just on the drift tire? May help loosen it up a little.

Other idea would be to use the base of a screwdriver or tool that fits inside the lip of the wheel to allow you to push the tire harder... If you can find a PVC pipe that has a larger
inside diameter than the wheel, but smaller than the outer diameter of the tire you could use that with a hammer to push the tire off the wheel.

Not a drifter either but could not resist trying another aspect of the hobby and since I never had an AWD from Kyosho I gave it a try. Actually pretty fun on the track. Kids love it too (now we need a second one to do racing and comps lol).

I've tried the hot water method and it did nothing at all so I'll try freezer next. For $6.99 for a new set I might just order a new pair lol.

Cheers
