I've put the 26th in my Calendar.
It's the day after Charity's B-Day but I should still be able to make it out.
See y'all then!

BTW I understand your ploy now....keep the events as far as possible from each other so Cowboy forgets how to drive fast and therefore gives you all a chance at the podium.
i'm onto you, Dave.

Darn. Busted.
Gonna have to change my tactics to ensure victory!!!
Catch me if you can!!! HA HA HA
As far as July goes, as much as I LOVE coming up there, I can't commit.
My employer is going away for the month and I've got the helm, so I'm going to be a busy boy.
I'd suggest to just go with it as weather permits. It's supposed to be a hotter then average summer.
As far as my August goes, the only Sunday taken right now is the 14th.

You sure are! Welcome! RFick73 (Ryan) runs the local GTGs and one of our club members, Dave, usually hosts at his place in Newton. We also occasionally head up to Whistler where CowboySIR (Derek) hosts outdoor events in the summer.
(P.S. Hey Derek, shouldn't you be CowboyST now? )

If I could edit my name I would, TeeSquared.
Check some of the back posts for directions to race day, gladi8or....we like getting new members of to see if they can handle the snappy repartee and trash talk all while trying to pilot these little fu....cars around Dave Ws track.

If you're into Mini-Z, you're in the right place
You're welcome to come out whenever we have a GTG. Just bring your gear and join in.
We're a fun bunch and do enjoy having new people join in.
As mentioned, our next date is June 26th.
The address here is 6841 138th St. in Surrey. As CowboySIR mentioned you can reference an older GTG announcement posting for more details. Also, I'm sure a new posting will be put up to announce the next GTG in the days to come. Subscribe to this thread and you'll be notified.
Hope you can make it out.

Welcome Carlos!
I probably won't meet you until September. My work schedule is absolutely nuts right now but I think I can finally dial back a bit once this summer is over. Hoping to be able to run with you guys more often soon.

Hi guys, I'm definitely coming to the next gathering. Mini-z is a old passion of mine, my material is not up to date... and the nail kit might be very very rusty, but I guess it's like riding a bike... you never forget. I've been around for at least 15 years in this hobby, used to run a big club in Portugal alongside many friends and organized hundreds of races including the PN World Cup 2007 and traveled around the world competing in many others....good old young days
My professional life made me jump from Portugal to UK, then Singapore and now Vancouver, and one thing always comes along... the old dusty Mini-Z box, since I know there will be always a small group of enthusiasts nearby.
I'm delighted to know that you guys have a track and get together from time to time to enjoy this common sport. Count me in for sure! 1 month counting down....
oh quick question, what transponders do you use? Giro-Z, Kyosho?

We use the trackmate transponders....we usually have spares around for new members to use and TheSteve works for them so if he's at an event you can usually buy one from him.
I know he can't make the next one so I'll be sure to remember a spare....
Are you still on AM or do you have a 2.4? I ask because most of the transponders are plug and play but if you're on AM I'll grab one that'll fit your terminal leads.

Hi guys,
I just went nostalgic and searched for the last event I organized, it was at my working place, to help raise funds for a LEGO poster of the Dark Knight Rises that was extremely expensive to buy all the pieces. This was done with the support of my 'local' club that provided the track and I took care of everything else, teaching 30 people how to drive a mini-z for the first time, qualifications during lunch time, finals during beer and pizza... 1000 people work in that place so you can imagine how crazy it was. Totally worth it.

Thanks for hosting Dave! I had a great time. I really enjoyed the more technical corner on this track.
It was nice meeting you Carlos, Thanks for the help with my VE car.
