Eagle Racing Power Booster

If I install the Eagle Racing Power Booster, will it completely bypass the nifty braking feature on my F1 Mini-Z? Does it have it's own braking and/or reverse?

Braking is preserved with the Eagle, it's the best one to use for F1s. Let us know if you'd like pics of a really clean installation, I'll be posting them soon anyway but they might help you figure out where to put it.

I FINALLY got my Megatech Hi Speed and Torq replacement motor from "Tall Building" hobbies (first one didn't work...next time I'll order from here) and installed it and my Eagle Power Booster (Of course my installation is nowhere near as clean as Mini-Z's!).
I place my F1 on the floor and all I have left to say now is, "WOW." What a difference the Mod motor and Booster makes!

crusader4x, welcome to the world of turbos! It's especially fun on the F1 since it has the handling to back it up without too many mods.

I finally got to an area where I can run my F1 Mini-Z (w/ Eagle Power Booster and Megatech Hi Speed and Torque Motor) at full speed. After a while of racing, the car would start to twitch bad, be unable to go forward, and still be able to go in reverse. I began to panic b/c I hear a lot about frying ESC's (I cannot afford a replacement Mini-Z). I popped the car open and noticed that the Eagle Power Booster was really hot and sort of semi-melted onto the body of my car. Could the excess heat on the Power Booster be a cause of the twitching? Has anybody experienced this? And, does the Eagle Power Booster protect my ESC?

It does protect your ESC. It shouldn't heat up - something else is wrong, what are you running on? Thick carpet? What tooth gear are you using?

my turbo will heat up and squeal at me when my batteries start to die, make sure that they are fresh and if at all possible make a way for air to travel over the top of the turbo to keep it cool.

I was running on commercial carpet, not thick at all. The type of carpet you'll see inside an office building - very short, made for high traffic and easy cleaning. I'm also using the 9 tooth gear. Come to think of it, I think that on the tow** webpage it stated that I need to use the 9 to 12 tooth gear w/ the Megatech Hi Speed and Torq Motor. Do you think that this is causing the problem Mini-Z?

No, that should be fine, I was worried you had a really big gear on there or something. How is the mesh, is it at all tight? Is the motor itself hot? How hot is the turbo?

The motor was getting pretty hot AND the Power Booster got so hot that it was only slightly stuck to the body of the car. Also, after letting the car sit for about 30 secs after the probs happened, it would run normal BUT the problem would repeat itself after running for a few minutes again. Same cycle, run fast for a while, then twitching and reverse only, let set for a while then runs normal. I also remember now that I just switched to the new Energizer Accu 750 MAH batteries.
