i checked and a new atomic order will arrive shortly with alot of the latest parts specifially the new all metal ball diff's for the awd. i will be picking up a pair of these to get my cooper back up and on the track.
the atomic 98mm wheelbase adapter kits should be on pre-order already, fyi...

Very cool. I am looking forward to the rest of the alloy parts for the AWD. I am going to have to spend some time slowing that thing down. I think I'll have to dial back the steering and the throttle end points on the AWD to keep it from traction rolling and causing a rediculous wreck during the body spec races.
Speaking of body spec and the next GTG. Are we going to run the 360 GTC for the body spec or are we moving to the cooper. I am using my race AWD (not to be confused with the non-backup drift AWD) for both bodies and I want to know which one to get tuned up.

good question...
i will have my parts to have the cooper running if we want to make the switch. this was to be the gtg to do this but we skipped the last dcps gtg due to turnout. we could keep with the scjedule and do a make up if time allows with the 360 gtc or whatever. i do know this was the gtg to switch.
yes, i too will be dialing out steering for the cooper. in stock trim it's toooo much even with 30deg. tires.
damn, have to go hunting for the thread with dc tracks so i can post the layout for this gtg. we should pull that out and close it so it's always there instead of hunting thru an existing thread.

frustrating news... my hfay car is now worse than ever. http://mini-zracer.com/mini-zgallery...cat=678&page=1
i've tried replacing the antenna wire, checked the motor, glued the pot, done everything i know how to do except replace the pot.
current plan of attack is to use the new 350z car to fix my hfay car. the 350z's instock right now do not have the new fets so it will still be hfay legal.
go back and use a new fet mr-02 pcb kit for the dc spec mr-02 when they arrive in the shop.
in the mean time my last ditch effort will include changing the pot tomorrow.

Have you tried cleaning the pot? I haven't ever done it but I have seen threads about it. I think I have a spare pot if you need one.
How about the servo gears? Are those clean and in one piece?
That shake is really bad. It would suck to have to buy a new kit because of that.
It certainly looks like something is up with the servo. If you have already glued it, it may not be worth trying to put something in between the chassis and that first plate that backs up to the servo...
I am betting on a bad servo, given all of the things you've tried.

wires are fine, gears were cleaned.
found the pot from my crt build and swaped them out. by no means back to new but HUGE difference. i can still hear the gears shaking but the wheels don't shake and thats what counts really. no lets just hope there are no erratic movements during driving. i don't have the track up so i have not tired it yet.
