Check your throttle trim. Also ensure that the polarity of the motor is correct. If you need to double tap throttle after hitting the brakes, then the polarity of the motor is backwards.

I pull back and have throttle forward have to push forward twice to get in reverse. When I push forward the car just keeps rolling

Your use of forward is confusing me. When you pull throttle, the car moves in the correct direction. When you push throttle, does it not brake? And pushing twice gives you reverse? So, you have proper functionality of reverse, but no brake effect? If this is the case, you should contact PN and see if there is a setting adjustablie via ICS that is not set correctly or for warranty replacement.

Try different throttle trim settings, and ensure that the brake hipoint on the transmitter is as at 100.

If you can engage reverse, I would think a software issue, not a hardware issue..

Before ordering one, contact PN about the issue. He should know more about resolutions than we do here, and may want to replace it to ensure you have a working product and troubleshoot the anomaly himself.

Spoke to someone from Kenon hobby, he said to adjust the brake trim in my radio. I can’t find that in the Dx5pro

Well I turned the brake rate to 100% slows down a little now. Next option might be doing it via ics

In the PN ICS app, there is a brake power option which you can adjust (see attached screenshot). I forgot what the default was set to out of the box.

I would think that PN would be a good place to start the search.
