I have a little problem and I was hopin that some of you out there might help. I know on previous threads there was talk of this on the mini bodies, but was not sure if the same advise applied on the lexan bodies. I am painting a 1:10 scale bodie that has the lexan body on it. I used some testers white paint and Faskolor paint for lexan bodies. When I was airbrushing the paint on my bottle of air was beginning to get low and the paint was laying down on the body in spots or globs of paint and not an even coat. I know want to strip the paint down because it looks like s..... I was going to consider some of the options that where listed on this site but was not sure if the products suggested was soften the lexan body and make it unusable. So here is what I need from you all. Any products that can strip this paint down with little to know effort and not ruin the body. Any and all products not just the ones that are found at the lhs.
Thanks for all your help in advance.
Fluffy
P.S I did hook my airbrush up to my small compressor and it solved the problem with the uneven spray.
I have used PineSol on clear lexan bodies (iwavers) and they turned out pretty nice. Just let the body soak overnight in some PineSol and in the morning the paint is seperated like oil and water. I have not had it damage a body yet but sometimes it makes the windows appear a little cloudy... not bad if you are tinting them later with some Tamyia clear paint or similar product though.

Good to hear. Once you get it painted you should post some pics.

Wow! What a great idea. Will that work for plastic bodies as well?I have a few that I have picked up that are painted nice. But they are so dark I cant see them on the track soo.....
The tip was origionally given to me to use on an autoscale body ... If you are working on painting a body definately give it a try... the worst thing that could happen is you spend a couple bucks on pinesol and waste some time.

Thanks , Will give it a try. Have also found some other products with a search. For "Paint remover" ELO Poly-S Easy Lift, Scale Paint Remover, Castrol Super Clean, Also searched Remove Paint and got some more replies but so far no more products. Hope to be able to make up some usable bodys. I have a box full. Couple of them are pretty nice but as I said, too dark for me to see and they have custom paint which I dont want to paint over as they will loose too much detail. 2 Dodge Vipers, 2 911's , 1 Rx 7 and one BMW convertable.
