Mini-AZ OLPS/HFAY Season 2
The FOP Lodge we raced at last week is booked solid until late October and nearly so out until February. So, we’ll be racing the August OLPS at the American Legion Hall. The up side there is we won’t be quite so pressed for time.
Still, there are some time constraints for members later in the day, so we’ll be starting these shindigs earlier than we used to. Track setups starts at 10am.
Remember the Hall allows food but they want you to buy drinks on-site.
Hope to see ‘ya all there.

Hey Dustyweasel we have access to the clubhouse this week-end if you want to GTG. Andrea is renting it for a double birthday party, but that we should have access to it. I'll let you know what the schedule of the party is as soon as i find out. If anything i'll have my track there and it can be just for track tuning if anybody wanted to show up and run some laps.

Cool. Saturday or Sunday? Let met know what time, I’ll make it by if I can with the CORE system. I really need the track time for testing after my tire debacle in the 100 Lap Sprint.
Unfortunately there’s a strong chance I’ll be working through the weekend. Even if I do manage to get caught up at work, I have outside-of-work work I got volunteered for that I also have to catch up on. So tired. So very tired.
But I’ll make it if I can.

October OLPS
The weather has turned perfect making evap-cooler locations viable, so this week DJ has offered the use of his Porsche Garage to hold our races. It’s clean and cool with plenty of floor space, and there are plenty of really cool 1:1 cars too.
Park out front or behind the fence. With so many drivers showing up lately pit space could get tight, so if someone has a folding table or two please bring them.
I’ve rearranged the schedule a bit to better accommodate practice time. We’ll do the usual 30min practice for the first race, but then do the HFAY runs immediately after. That way we get warm-up time and the HFAY runs get us even more practice. This also affords more time for lunch and tuning as drivers wait their turn.
We’ll use the HFAY results as Qualifying for the Clockwise race. The Counterclockwise race will proceed as usual, and the formal racing wraps up by 3pm also as per normal.

Switching back to the usual routine, we are running the OLPS as the first race of the month again. Joe has moved into a new apartment complex and we’ll be giving his new clubhouse a try.

As before with this new schedule, we’ll use the HFAY results as Qualifying for the Clockwise race. The Counterclockwise race will proceed as usual, and the formal racing wraps up by 3pm also as per normal.

DW, your results posted above may have changed slightly. I forgot to bump those that finished below me up 1 point. I'm DQ'ed for testing purposes, and adjusted the points to reflect that.

Hood, you're making me nervous. You're laps are always very comparable to mine...You and I will have to have a showdown when I hop a plane to AZ this winter..I'll look forward to racing with you, DW & the whole AZ crew...Until then good luck the rest of this season.

Looking forward to beating you, oops.. I meant meeting you!
I have been watching the times of everyone that is above me and the people that finished at the top last year. You are definately on that list, and I look forward to getting to race against you..
Our club is getting faster, and it is getting harder to stay in the A heat.. We had a new racer yesterday, and he should put Mini-AZ up on the list higher than I have been able to..
Let us know when you are coming, we can schedule a practice day in my garage or something.. In January we plan on running the largest RCP track that you have ever seen..

Hi Will! We look forward to racing with you again, and Fast Turtle if he’d like to.
Here are some pictures from the November OLPS event. It was held in the spacious, comfortable, and well lit clubhouse at Joe’s new apartment.

Too bad i missed being there for the races. Looks like a lot fun happened there. It also looks well lit compared to alot of the places we've raced at. Alos nice to see that Hood's and Joe's cars got some color added to distinguish them apart. We could also rent the clubhouse here at my apartments for the HFAY/OLPS races and i've already asked and all of the people here have been trained on how to rent the clubhouse and it should prove much easier now if we need to. We could also run some bigger tracks on it, but not quite the monster layouts we're used to of late.
Should have no problem getting to the next event next saturday so hopefully everyone can be there. Soory for not showin, but other commitments had to be met. If we could of switched to Sunday i could of been there, but then others might not of been able to make it. So in the end it was easier for me to miss it then to ask every one else to adjust their schedules.
