Just a quick question on the variety of materials used for the knuckles and tierod sets....
Is it better to have stiff metal parts for these pieces and if so do they add stability? Would you get straighter steering?
Or is it better to have these parts plastic and allow for the flex and give of these types of materials allow for? I would imagine the steering could get a little crazy with that much flex and give going around.
Also, for the camber and toe in what are the advantages to Toe in vs Toe out?
I can see how toe in would pull the front of the front wheels in toward the card that should allow for straight line steering and more uneven wear on the tires, but what does toe out do?
And the camber + degrees I understand you would want for tighter steering but what about camber - degrees? Does that improve straight line steering as well?
toe in is sor straight lines, or thracks with more straights that turns. toe out is for more twistier tracks...
camber makes the inside part of the rubber touch the ground more so they look like this / \ when you look at them front on so when you turn to either side the wheels straighten up so you get maximum traction while in a corner on thi inside wheel...
hope this helps but i think you might need a second appinion
