FD3s custom rear wing

Here are some pics of a hand-made rear wing for this FD3s. I got this one used and the wing was missing. I think FD3īs should always have a rear wing. Otherwise it looks naked. So i took a rear wing i ripped from a toy Skyline (it was an ugly plastic piece you can see on the attached pic), cut here and there, sand paper finishing, matt black paint, and thereīs the wing. Not a great piece, but it was my first one.
Following "leonen" userīs idea, the wing posts were made of original wheel bushings. 3 fixed per post, some sandpaper for giving the angle, and i could even bolt them on through the original body holes.

Thx for looking. Plz share good or bad coments.

Looks much better than the stock wing.

BTW, your headlights are stuck in the raised position

Thx. I really like the original wing, but as i got it w/o it, i had to make one. I think this one fits nicely in a tuner style.

I only got the raised heads . I thought i could unscrew them and re-install them in closed position, but that cannot be done w/o modding the piece (which i donīt want to do). Does anybody know if buying the kit includes open and close option for headlights?

The ASC should have both, as well as the white body. I have mine in the down position...

You could do what's been done in Mini-Z Bar and that is take those head lights off, and make like the clear headlights rather than the pop up ones. Know what I mean?

Yes! Itīs not a bad idea. Iīll try that one with the front clearīs. BTW, iīve been away from this forum for a long time...

I got it used from Arch2b, and closed heads, wings and one mirror where not included. Anyway the piece was in very good condition so it turned pretty nice with the wing.

It ended up pretty nice. Iīve never raced it after installing the wing, so i donīt know if it will keep up with all the bumps of a race. But for the stand works

If you get yourself another FD (new) i guess you will not make another wing. Original one is too nice to be replaced. But you can always find a used one to work on...
