Question tyres!!

hey there all this is not some lame attempt at gettin everyone to do my maths homework but :- i recently bought new 30 degree kyosho tyres for my MZ however, managed to mix up these tyres with the ones removed from the rear of my MZ.

so basically i have 6 tyres 4 of which are 30 degrees and 2 are stock! get that? how do i find out which is which without the both of goin thru the hassle of mounting them on the rims and working it out that way!!!

thanx!!!!

you oughta be able to tell just by feeling them. the 30* tires should be noticeably softer and much more flexible than the stock tires.

urm just tried that and they all feel about the same but that could just be my fat fingers could the fact that the 2 stock tyres are from a new autoscale body (possibly kyosho are putting 30* on autoscales as stock?)

Do you glue your tires?

Will I need to glue my new Mini-Z foam tires to my rims?

If so what is the best method and type of glue?

Thanks.

i would not glue them because then you would not be able to get them off, just wrap a strip of doublesided tape around the rims and slowly ease the tires on.

Bob, I used spray adhesive on my foams and it worked great they never come off anymore. The foams will be difficult to get off though in the long run, I already had to replace my rear's. I just used a hobby knife to scrape off the extra foam stuck to the wheel. Double sided tape is good if you want to hack of your body getting the foam to fit in the wheel well... I know this from experiance.

Wes,

Why would spray adhesive not require you to resculpt your wheel wells? Or am I not understanding you correctly?

The tape I used stretched the tires so that they were bigger. I really don't know how to explain it, I have to take a picture or something... eh too much work lol. I used servo tape to do mine, you can use some other kinda of double sided tape and it should work maybe.
