MantisWorx F1 rear wing mount

if you press the wing down at any angle with your finger you will see that the chassis actually rises up and even if it may or may not make a difference its still wrong! so what i have come up with is a mount that screws into the chassis. it will work with any motor mount and it will work with the stock wing. you may have to re-route your wires to clear.

i have found that the best way to install it is to get some thin double sided tape and after removing the wires or what ever is needed to allow you to stick the mount onto the chassis. after its stuck take a .062 drill and drill through the chassis, remove the mount and the tape, install provided spacer (approximately .125 tall) and screw down. now you have maximum downforce!

i am sending these out to a few racers for testing so once i get feedback from them and get hardware in they will be up forsale for 18.00

i like the idea a lot. agreed, motor wires are likley going to be the biggest obstacle as they are difficult to deal with anyway.

I received my new Mantis rear wing in Delrin today. To my suprise it weighs 11g just like the stock wing on my F1 Ferrari. That's a bonus because it looks 100% better than stock. Can't wait to paint it up and test it on my F1.

Are the mounting points at the centre of the springs in the motor mount?

pretty close to it, the best way to do it (instructions will be on the website next week) is to get some double sided tape and tape the mount down to the chassis and drill through the holes that are already in the mount, countersink from the bottom so you can still use side springs. remove the tape and mount using supplied hardware.
