I was sick of gluing my F1 rear wing and resorted loosening the screws so it gave a bit during rollovers. Then I came up with the idea of a flexible crash proof foam rear wing made of 2mm dense foam sheet (black and white in this case) from a craft shop. I just glued the 4 pieces together with rubber glue and glued it with the same to the motor cradle. A bit of red sticker material on the sides and a stick on decal and its ready to race.
The photos show how how elastic and resistant to breaking it is.
Great idea Fast, havent been unfortunet enough to break mine yet, but im sure i will The wing on the nsx looks great, i could hardly tell. Was the foam expensive, and how much do you get??
wow, you roll your F1? I think that i'd have to be on a 60 degree turn on try a powerslide for that to happen....

Roll overs only result from unlucky contact with the "Armco barrier" or other unlucky competitors vehicles during energetic dices around the track.
We all have broken and re- glued a few rear wings in our group.
The foam rubber material was about 70 cents for an A4 sheet from which you can make haeps of wings.

Wow, rough group
Great solution though

Nice job on the wing...what kind of tires are those...did you modify them?
Yep, they are fast4buy tightwad rear foam specials
I cut the walls from a set of standard tires, glued them to some alloy rims and attach strips of 4mm foam tire material with double sided tape and a drop or 2 of rubber glue. I just do it on the rears. They work real good. I did the fronts as well but had trouble finding a suitable compound
I know others who turn down the standard plastik rims and stick on 5mm thick foam tires. that seems to work ok as well.
