Best (Cheapest) way to ship (2) RCP Wide L tracks

Has anyone had experience shipping these tracks in their original boxes? I was going to put my 2 RCP Wide L tracks for sale on ebay, but don’t know what would be the best(cheapest) way to ship them. I have checked the UPS - FedEx - DHL - USPS websites to get a rough idea of shipping cost but it has varied wildly from $50-$280 for 2 boxes. I seen a few people sell their tracks only charging $20-35 shipping, but that would only be feasible if they live in a state next to you, or really close. Or would it be better to break up the tracks into several smaller boxes. I'm at work right now, but I think the original measurement for each box was 41 L"x 27 W"x 16"H, the Fed Ex said it weigh 28lbs ( my zipcode is 02150), or should I save myself the headaches and do it as pickup only.

What would be a good reserve price or buy it now option to set for local pickup if I were to skip shipping it. I was thinking about $270 for both. They are in excellent condition, one track was only used lightly about 3-4 times and the second just once to expand the track in the garage. On the first track it has 1-2 very minor (barely noticeable) indentation on a few tiles from where I stupidly stack the tiles with the pins on, the second track is perfect.

I bought the tracks to keep me busy indoors during the winter and hoping to get some of my friends into mini z racing but it didn’t work out. Don’t really have the time to use it plus without people to race with, its not as much fun as I thought. I’ll just go to the LHS to race with the people there.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated,

Before you try to sell on ebay, post it for sale in the miscellaneous discussions section here, and other RC forums sale/trade sections. If you post it on ebay, you could write on the listing that the person pays 'actual shipping cost of the shipping method of their choice', then have them pay for the bid amount first, and ship, and charge them the shipping price...

Does $250 for 2 RCP Wide L tracks seem reasonable? I decided to do it as local pickup on Ebay since I tried using the shipping calculators on Ebay so bidders could check the shipping cost before bidding but it wasn't working out correctly because its 2 boxes. If someone knows of a cheaper way of shipping the boxes or have experience shipping oversize packages or know someone who might be interested in the tracks in the Massachusetts area, I might be willing to drop it off myself.

I recently bought 2 used wide L tracks, I paid $200 + actual shipping cost. there were sent through Fedex and only cost $40.00 to ship both in there original packaging.

did you Check Fedex prices?

I have checked the UPS-Fed Ex-DHL-USPS websites. Where was it ship to and from where and do you remember if the boxes where roughly the same size 41"L x 27"W x 16"H.

I'm going to try to call Fed Ex to see if I'm doing something wrong when I check the shipping rates online. Try to get a better idea of what it would actually cost.

Thanks for the information
