Quick Poll: Beast, Tracker or Swamper
I will be placing an order with the shop soon and I need some OL tires. What do you think and why?

i went with trackers. there's little or no modification needed to run them.

I go for tracker too, though I have never own one but the size seems to give OL the best performance. I reckon its more or less like the LEGO tyres performance. Swamper is too big, its like pulling a big truck with normal car engine. unless you have done some super upgrade on your engine, that's another story.
of course it depends on which OL you are going to use it for, Hummer might need less modification to run swamper compared to land cruiser or X5. BUt swamper look great on OL.
so tracker

I voted the swampers.
I have them on my Hummer there great. they'll work stock, but you need a little lift(2 O-rings on an LSSM) to run them. I run with O-rings in the front, and 4 in the back. Just because i like the suspension hard enough to bounce and have minimal roll.
I'm gonna look up threads for the Tracker, they look like a great tire, I'll probably place an order for them next time I order from the shop.

swampers! i just bought some the week they came out in feb and i like them all you need to do it fix the axle length ( or cut bumber and shave some of the mid part) and just do some body movement ( rising ). there good but i wish some one would come out with tires that give lift but dont require axle movement ( to turn).

So it looks like it's between the Swampers and the Trackers. Does anyone have a pic of the Swampers mounted? If you have a pic of them on an H1 that would be great!
I guess I should have given more info. I currently have a Hummer body with a LSSM lift in the front and I put a set of regular shocks on the rear. The LSSM on the rear was sticking and I haven't fixed it yet. It looks silly but it runs pretty well.
Also, I am going to install a 2x2 FET stack run an X-speed motor, so big tires shouldn't be an issue.

What tires you choose depends on what you want your OL to do and how much work you want to put into it.
Trackers provide good traction on bare floors but lack any real off-road traction, they are slightly larger than stock tires and would not require a lift or too much body modification to fit.
Swampers and Beasts both are much larger than ston and will require a lift and some body modification to get them to fit ....but they are unrivaled in traction anf ground clearance, a must for crawlers or off-roaders...they also raise the center of gravity and make your truck more prone to roll-overs.
I have and use all of them but for almost everything I use the Swampers or Beasts

Thanks for the info DBR. I think I want to go with the modded off-road crawler OL. I'll probably order a set of swampers.
Is there a place I can get a cheap set of wide offset 11mm rims for them?

I'll look again but I haven't seen any that were THAT cheap. If I could get a set of four for less than 10 bucks that would be great. If I order two sets of wheels it will probably be around $20.
