I have a 2.4 board installed in my F1, We were racing last night and all was going well, then about halfway though the second race my car started glitching really bad. Then it just plain became uncontrollable.
I had to pull the car from the track. I was testing it, first I thought the batteries in my TX (helios with module) were low, put new ones in, then freshly charged batteries in the car. Non of this helped. I raced the rest of the night with my other 2.4 cars without an issue so it has something to do with the Specific board.
After tearing it apart, checking all solder connections and everything else I can think of. I just can't figure out what is going on with it. at a range of less then 6 feet everything works as it should. Farther away than that and I have know steering, no throttle.
I thought it could be a binding issue, but I have checked that as well, I rebound it with the module and nothing changed.
Anyone have any ideas? I hope I don't have to get a new board but I will if I have to. I have 2 weeks before our next race and need to get it fixed before then.
what transponders are you using? I had glitching w a 2.4 car when the antenna wire was too close to the transponder (I-lap)
your antenna wire may be broke (inside the insulation) check w an ohm meter. I havent used it yet but i read using static bag material makes a good shield for noise (under the board) I hope figure it out for your next race....

I'm using Core Transponders. I have also changed out the antenna wire, so I don't think that is the problem.
I'll have to get a static bag and see if that helps.
