Ya know... why do all of these ultra-expensive cars have sideview mirrors? For the amount of money spent, I would sooner prefer a lightweight piece of headgear with heads up displays integrated in it... or something like that. Maybe three display screens on the dash, two at the corners, one in the center? And for that amount of cash, They better be HD!
Guess what I'm trying to say here is that those mirrors have to rank as the most whacked out answer to a simple question I've ever seen on a car.
Other than that... I hope to have one of these in my stable soon!

Most hypercar desingers are using the side mirror as a flow director for efficient aerodynamics. I'm not sure if it was LaFerrari or a recent article on the Koenigsegg that told me that but either way its a smart use of an aging aspect of the automobile.
I dont think i'd ever want to give up side mirrors.

I wonder what rocket scientists say to their coworkers when one of them doesn't get it?
hmm any updates as to its performance? here is a comparison to other cars (source: autoscale info sheet from each car)... note: front / rear offsets and track widths in mm.
car - front offset / rear offset - front track width / rear track width
la ferrari - 2.5 / 2.5 - 75 / 75
458 - 2 / 3 - 74 / 76
599 - 3 / 3 - 76 / 76
all bodies are LL or 98mm wheelbase... so i wonder amongst the three which handles the best... the 599 seems like it has the widest stance... so performance wise, in theory, this must be the most stable... however i like the looks of the 458 the best... followed by the 599... and then the la ferrari... well it's a ferrari... lol... hope they had a better rim design on it...
Standard offset for the La Ferrari is 2.5 for both front and back. I am using 2.5N F and 3W R right now. It looks like there's enough room to use 3N up front. I haven't had time to check yet.
