Version 0.41 of Flip Side Racing Software

A new release is available, you can download it from the site:
http://www.flipsideracing.org/

Unfortunately there was a bug with creating new racers with Core hardware so I needed to get version 0.41 out quickly. If you have Core hardware you will need to upgrade to this version. There were a couple other changes that I had done in the past couple days that are included.

Changes
  • Options that are not available for certain race types are now grayed out on the race config screen
  • The program will only prompt you to verify you want to close it if a race is running

Bug Fix
  • Fixed a bug preventing the creation of new racers with Core hardware

New racers OK.....but the safety box as disappeared that prevents the accidental closing of the programme.

It is still there but I changed it based on requests from other people. It will now only prompt if a race is running. That is the critical time that we need to prevent the program from being accidently closed.

We're not normally near the computer when racing and our previous "naughty student" has graduated.(no more pranks)
What happens with us is after a race, when we open up the report screens comparing previous heats or maybe a race from last month....then someone will shout across the room "come on lets race again".....the excitement/panic then kicks in (racing good... oh eck I haven't changed batteries etc) and all rational thinking/remembering at the computer goes from the head....and one click to many closing down the full screen reports shuts the programme down.
Its then "sorry guys I've got to open the programme and config the race screen again".
It used to be so annoying before you programmed the safety box in.....suppose we'll have to go back to being annoyed, but please reconsider.
This is our first "tiff" with the software but the love affair goes on. xxx

Maybe what I should do is make it a configuration option that you can choose the behavior. I can create a popup menu on the General Config screen with three options, prompt anytime, prompt when racing and no prompt.

Thoughts?
