I think I saw some one mount this body before, might just be my imagination though...
This corvette body is a REAL tight fit, like a glove thats one size too small.
The side body mounts in this picture, are made of plastic stock tubes, and a thick sheet (thinest I had). I put a tight-hole through the sheet, and stuck the tube through it, the original idea was to allow the tube to be just set in there, and the plate glued to the body. This would have allowed me to pull the tube out and flip it over, raising/lowering the body 3mm or so, if desired, but I wound up just glueing it in... I still have to file a bit off the one side to get it centered.
The nose mount is a larger tube with a hole drilled and cut through it so the nose plate can fit in it...
The suspension plate on the bottom, is custom alum plate, the vett only needs 4mm longer then the longest setting. (yep just one more length setting and it could have used a stock plate).
I built this body as a practice body, for making side mounts on some other bodies I have, I dont have all the parts to finish it (the hoods no were to be seen). I will probly use this as a beater racing body.
If any one needs it I might continue to turn this type of body mount into a "how to mount a body" page on my site. But I am going to test these mounts in a race first .
EDIT:
I thought I saw this body used already, not sure if its the same kit the hood on theirs looks diff then the hood on the box this body came in (the hood i cant find). http://abeille.club.free.fr/carrosminiz.htm
