PN RACING Speedy AWD motor
Is anybody running this motor? [PN Racing Speedy AWD] It dosnt require an FET upgrade right?
How does it compare w/ the AWD xspeed motor

Arch, so what did they change on the X-Speed to make it AWD ready?

i have no idea. all i know is the performance is nice. it's got good speed and lets you carry that speed much father than say the atomic stock bb which has alot of drag to it. i have the atomic motor in mine and the xspeed awd just flew past me thru the turns

Just wondering what they are doing to them thats different , thats all....
When I got my MA010 I ran it stock....for about 5 min, then out came the stock motor, thrown in the back of the pit box never to be seen again.
I then ran a standard X-Speed, better but still to slow, out it came.
Next I tried my MZW Blue Power Special Edition motor (47T BB), Better than the X-Speed by a bit, it had fairly good speed, but lacked punch, out it came.
Next was a 3Racing BB Speed motor (this one comes with Neo mags and I believe it is also a 47 turn motor) WAY WOOOOBAAA! Nearly twice as fast as the X-speed, gobs of torque, with enough reserve to power around, through, or over any problem that accures on the track in front of you (I even like this motor better in the AWD than I do running it in my 02) and the heat is less than any of the other motors (do have the motor heat sink coming). This motor performs so well I even raised the gears to run 17/29 on our small track. The car is way faster than our 02's through the tigh technical sections, but tops out on the straights a bit too soon and gets caught by the 02's. Some more gearing changes can cure this, if we can control the heat.
The down side for some is the strong decceleration because of the Neos, personally I like it, by adjusting my throttle I can dial in and out drag brake without having to actually move my trigger finger into braking position making it very easy to feather the throttle through the turns and actually stay part way on the power instead of having to break.....
....just a few thoughts ......

db, that sounds just like the atomic stock, which is what i run. the power is almost extreme but i can still get left behind on straights.
as with any production motor, there are variants. some are going to be faster or slower than others. this is most eveident in the k. stock motors.

For the most part, if it has a BB case, it will be listed on the PN site, if not it wont be. As far as I know, the AWD has a bushing can as well as the Fet Stock.
