HPI Micro RS4 tires for RCP Track
Anyone have any idea what type of tire would be needed to run an HPI RS4 AWD on an RCP Track.
My appologies if this was posted before but I can't find anything about this.

it depends on what type of driving you would like to do... foams work really well if you are trying to do normal racing....
electric tape or abs wheels are the bombdizzle, for drifting...

Ellegi's if you can get them. Otherwise Tower stocks the TRC's.

my m18 with foam tires drifts easly on my rcp track. ofcourse my m18 has a 5/6 cell setup with a guapner speed 300 motor. not sure what that means but it's plenty fast.

O oops! Been busy with stuff. I'll sell you a pair if you want them. Just let me add up how much they cost me. I'll just split it even with you if that's ok?

someone correct me if im wrong,
but imo it depends on the track and the set up of the car....
carsetup:
for example if you have a crazy fast motor, then you would probably want the harder foams, (they will last a little longer) or perhaps, you would prefer the soft foams, cuz it will stick even better even though you will burn through your tires.
as for track considerations....
soft foams are grippier and wear down faster and would probably be best for tight courses with lots of curves....
the harder foams would be fine on a course with longer straights?
at least thats the case with my m18,
but i play with my friends micro rs4 all the time,
and its surprising how differently the two cars handle....

I'm going to run the car on an RCP track with more turns than straights. Thats why I asked. I wasn't sure whether foams or rubber tires worked better on this scale on an RCP track
Thanks for your reply

what i meant by that, is that, for every track they run, they do test runs, testing for suspension and tire combinations....
they repeat the track till they figure out which setup allows for the fastest time...
they adjust everything, suspension stiffness, toe, camber, soft and hard foams...
just like how they do in 1/1 scale racing....
but usually when there is some money on the races, people have a tendency to use the soft foams, to ensure maximum grip regarldless of the track...
losing money is like losing a part of you pride... lol....
but it sure makes you determined to come back and kick some arse... lol...
your car configuration will matter heavily, especially if you are doing hardcore racing...
but the suggestions for the foam tires mentioned above i would try first... then start to experiement and start making your own track setup sheets....
me personally ive been getting into drift lately, and don't really do any racing anymore... abs tires don't really allow for a lot of speed...

Thanks for the info, i would really try and race my micro on the RCP track first then try drifting it. I just don't want to but a whole mess of tires to test and find out I really needed only one kind.

thats true, but if you get thin abs plastic, and mount those instead of the rubber tires, you can drift all day on it....
plus abs plastic is cheap!
