I have the damper plate system on my 02, along with a rear oil shock, but I havent used it enough to understand its benefits. What do you gain in the way of performance by using the damper plate system? Can't you get the same results using the H-plates? I don't like the idea of making a cutout on my body to accomodate the raised position of the rear shock because of the damper plate.

you dont necessarily have to use the rear oil shock, just find the right combo for your DPS and your h-plate. I have one car with both shock and DPS, handles well, but its at a higher speed, my other stock class car, i just run the DPS on it with a medium H-plate for our carpet track just running a x-speed in it thats all nothing too fancy. unless you do want to run the rear oil shock with the DPS, gotta cut out the body, i dont see a difference with both installed on my stock class car, just handles well enough but at higher speeds...wow cornering sucks without both for me. Also depends on how you drive =)
