DogBreath AMG Mercedes

RCM was over the other day for some racing, he also brought along an AMG Mercedes body that has been sitting on his work bench for quite awhile, it was so covered in paint overspray and dust, even the windows were covered.....but I like that body and ran it most of the day...ugly as it was. After racing was over and everyone had gone home I went to work on the body,. First we took everything apart, removed the lights and glass, I tried some paint thinner on the body, but that wasn't the ticket, next came the sanding block. After just a few minutes we had a nice smooth body again, and the glass too. Next we layed down a coat of light gray primer and three coats of bright TESTORS Yellow. Then the contrast color (red) was added as well as all the detail paint (grills, exhaust, ect) While that was curing I designed and printed some custom decals "DogBreath" style. The decals were applied, the glass reinstalled and four coats of clearcoat were sprayed. The last step was reinstalling the lights and grill. Now this is mounted on an IW01 and the Lancer Evo wheels look a little out of place, but there are some other coming. The IW01 with this body and a MR01 with the same body do run side by side, heck you can't tell them apart.....well anyhow, enjoy the "Dog's" ride.

Dbr Clk

Very nice.
The yellow and red scheme compliment one another quite nicely.

Every time I see the DBR decal it reminds me of Dirt Bike Rider one of my favourite publications!

LOL....Arch, you have done more of both than I ever will!

Well we (The Monster Garage Group) have done just about all there was to do with the Overlands, and a couple in our group suffered some pretty heavy damage lately, so with the iWaver cars being so cheap, it was easier for me to buy a couple of them and convert the garage for cars. The others in the group all own MR01's so it makes for some good close racing.....and heck, I just can't drive anything that doesn't have my personal mark on it!

Yes I thought the yellow and red were a good "Race" color combination.

That dog image was my namesake image for sevral years before I came to this forum, I always liked it, kinda looks like my dog "Schroder", he's Pit Bull and Bull Mastiff, I guess that makes him "Full of Bull", anyways, I revived that image for this car at least.

Wow your car looks nice. I am really fond of both pitbulls and bull mastifs that must be a huge dog!! My old roommate has a 80lbs stafordshire terrier named Bud that looks just like your sticker.

Well Schroder isn't huge in size, he's only about knee high but he's as wide as he is tall, it's really hard to find a collar that fits him... LOL

DBR, i'm a little curious.
I have a clk, the AMG. I love it to pieces, litterally
But, i'm wondering what CLK you have because we have different autoscales. In mine, the headlights (on the let for example) are one glass, not two. The are joined. Also, I don't have a mercedes emblem that sticks off my hood, I just had a freakin decal. That pissed me off. Is it a Kyosho Autoscale that you used?
