Kyosho's RML MR-02s don't use the rear mono-shock because of space under those bodies. I recently ordered a Lamborghini Countach LP500S (which is an RML) but it has what appears to be a new rear suspension setup. I am wondering if anyone has any experience with how it handles compared to the usual single rear shock in the normal RM setup. Here is a picture of what it looks like...
Any insight is really appreciated.

yes it's a kyosho option roll shock set available for mr015/02....
didn't know that it comes stock with the lambo though....
That is a roll shock setup. I put a 3 racing disk damper on my nefews lambo. car. I had to drill ~ 1/2 inch hole on the back deck to clear the post for movenment .
Thanks Christian! Will look for a deal on one. Do I need any other parts to go along with this part like a T plate, lock nut, etc? I'm new to Mini-Zs (been into Xmods for years) and don't have any cars with dampers yet.
On a separate note, where are you working these days? Was talking to Frank last week and asked about you and he said you were no longer there.
The Lambo has arrived and you guys are absolutely right! The box has a sticker on the outside saying it includes the option roll shock set. I also got a Testarossa body which is also a RML, because I wanted to display the black lambo. But when I tried to swap bodies, the chassis was too short to fit the Ferrari body and the roll shock hardware wouldn't fit under the Testarossa body. So I put the Lambo body back on.
In doing my research on AtomicMods.com before ordering, these cars are both listed as 94mm wheelbase. Come to find out the Countach LP500S is actually a 90mm wheelbase.
At first I wasn't sure I wanted to keep it. But after running it for a while, I realized how stable it is. Granted it is all stock except for some PN tires. The car is so flat and wide, from the top is looks almost like a square. The wheel offsets are 2N, 3W. I measered the distance between the rear wheels and its 65mm on center, so not quite a square. I will put in some bearings, a Speedy BB07 and some springs next and give it another spin. But at the moment its a keeper.
I prefer to drill a hole in the body and use an MM disc damper setup with RM conversion, or Kyosho RM damper with plastic discs PN post and springs... I never had good results with the Atomic RML damper. I allways felt that the rear was not planted enough with it, and the car would bounce a bit on off throttle entry causing it to over rotate.
The 3Racing DPS includes a good RM adapter...

i decided to give the countach a try for our short wheelbase class and again looking at suspension options. at the moment i just have a kyosho CF medium T plate but it's not enough to keep it planted unless i keep the throttle down to 60% (Atomic 5k brushless motor). i love the car and look forward to sticking with it for awhile but really need to address the rear dampening issue. I have the old atomic RML damper kit bot it doesn't line up well with the PN 90mm rm motor pod i have (bottom tabs on damper over motor mount T plate screw holes. anyone have the part number for the Kyosho RML suspension kit?
