Wow... that one's headed to the shop for sure. That must have been quite a hit. I took a chunk out of a CLK almost exactly like that before, but it was due to my cat having it stuck to its tail and freakin out running around the house with the car attached and finally hitting a fridge. I didn't think i'd see that on a track. Especially something with softer than PVC railing.

i'll always perfer asc to lexan for the level of detail and quality. i don't take racing serious enough to worry about using lexan and in which most cases it can't be used anyway. it does make for good track loaners though.

i've seen the same sort of break on my clk, diablo and enzo

CLK and Diablo are pretty brittle in the front, but the Enzo seems stronger to me. I haven't had a problem with that one. Not serious damage anyway.

i have seen that same fender rip off of numerous clk's (warfiles, west f.1.'s and a few from our club including mine.) the new one has a very big mold problem.. too bad because the newer clk is my fav body out there.

This was a case of the car striking a foam guard rail, but it was full speed and it was a direct hit on the corner....oooouch.....oh and it wasn't my body!!!

I've seen simlar happen here with Diablo and CLK bodies...but they hit wood.

How does that kind of damage happen from hitting foam, even though the CLK's front isn't the strongest?

So glad I don't run one.
