Hurda body

As Hurda body it's lexan, I think it has many advantages over regular or VSD bodies. The thing is: it will fit a MR02 RM/MM ? If yes, what kind of modification is required ? Have anyone tried this ?

The Hurda body does not mount like mini-z vds and autoscale bodies. It uses body posts like a 1/12 pan car. You would have to make a front bumper and put body posts there, and glue body posts on the rear of the mr02 as well...

you can use 2 of the pcb cover mount positions for body posts. it's very easy to make a front bumper plate that you can attach fron body posts to.

Arch2b explained perfectly.

A small addition; since sinister accepts the noseplates of autoscale bodies, TGR carbon bumper also has holes which matches your mr02's nose. However you may need to file the front for a little.

As for the RM and MM, Hurda designed for sinister which has 98mm wheel base. However side walls are totally flat so you may cut it according to your rear wheels. It might seem like a longtail maclaren vs shorttail mclaren but it will definately fit bot RM and MM chasis

Have fun,

Thank you very much for explaining this...I'll definetelly buy Hurda bodies for our club Z's !

But from Arch2b pictures, I think that between the 2 body posts on the PCB cover, there is not anymore room for a damper ?

One of our customers used long 2mm screw instead of direct body post placement by cutting the head of the screw. Just like a long long 2mm setscrew and m2 locknut for height adjustment. This way you also have chance to use damper on the same place.

Hope this helps

Regards

there should be just enough room for a mono shock to fit between the body posts but will have limited side to side movement. a disc damper system will not fit if you use the rear most holes for body posts.

The paint job looks great, though I think the body it's a bit wider than the chassis ?
Are you gonna cut those high body posts ?
