Energizer AA's not holding charge

I was just wondering if anyone else is having this problem. I have 8 energizer AA 2500mAh batteries that don't seem to be holding a charge.

If they sit in my radio for a day or two the voltage is down pretty low maybe 10.2V or so. That's without using them at all and when I first intall them they are up in the high 10's.

EDIT: Also, the batteries are pretty new and I tried refreshing/testing them. They all test at about 2.4 -2.5Ah

I'm having this same problem with mine. I charged them on my ICE charger and they were only holding about 900 mah. I cycled them a few times and they went back up to close to the 2500 mah rating.

I think it has somthing to do with running them in a low drain device. they batteries are more designed to work in a high drain device. I'm running the same batteries in my digital camera and they don't seem to be doing this like the ones I was running in my controller.

I have switched the ones in my controller to Alkalines, and on my helios they are reading 13.0+ volts when new. The rechargeables were luck to hit 11volts after being charged.

That's kind of crappy. I wrote energizer to see if they would warranty them. I'll see what they say. I already have four for my digicam and I don't need 8 more...

Maybe I can sell them and get something else that will work for the helios.

don't feel bad. I have 32 of them for my controllers, and 8 for my camera..
16 are energizer, 16 are digital brand. both are doing the same thing when running in the controllers

the alkalines seem to last alot longer in the controller than the rechargeables ever did.

The ones that came with my charger are pretty good. I think it's th BC-900 charger but I can't remember the battery name. They are only 2000mAh and they run for a while.

I also have been more and more disappointed on how fast my 2500mAh AA Energizers discharge whether or not I'm using them.

Same thing here. They used to last for awhile, but lately they need to be charged before every use.

This is funny- I've got 2 sets of Energizer AAs for my M11 and they won't hold a charge to the point of being useless (they're less then a year old). I've got another brand (can't remember it at the moment), and they hold a charge just fine in the M11.

I've been wondering why that is...

I think the energizers need to be slow charged.. their 15 minute charger (that I have been using on my TX cells only not car!) gets them way too hot... so they are likely better for over night charging... my Energizer AA are the older Blue-Gold labels tho... wich are not as bad as the even older Green-Gold Labels wich totaly suck !!!

I have been using my Rayovac IC3 just fine in my car, with the only problem being their little black end of their label that causes 10-20ohms of resitance so the charger knows they are the right batteries... sometimes does not trigger the switch so im gona mod my charger and solde rin some 10ohm resistors so its always in 15 minute mode...

Does anyone have recommendations on AA batteries that have stood the test of time? I would rather use rechargables.

There are a few brands HERE any thoughts?

MY energizers are the same. Good for a day of racing but if they sit my low voltage alarm goes off...

I have a set of 2100 Sanyos and they work perfectly holds the charge will sitting. But the best are the cheap batteries from costco they are alkie's but they last for ever.

Are you using them in a digital radio or the stock TX?
