DC GTG Demonstration Cars

Over the past few months I have aquired a fleet of 3 sports series RTR kits to be available for demonstration to the public. I have a toolbox now to carry them all in and have stocked it with some common spare parts. Please feel free to use these if an interested spectator expresses interest in trying out a car vs. letting pilot one of your own cars. I've numbered the chassis and transmitter foe easy matching.
I typically do not have a lot of time to handle the demonstrations, etc. and will leave the pit box open and available for all to use however I ask that spare parts stored in the pit box only be used for the demonstration cars. If you have any spare MR-03 parts to contribute for common parts prone to breakage, happy to take contributions.

Included in the pitbox will be a bulk battery charger and small box of Duratrax batteries as well.

Continued thanks to those who are always helpful with demonstrating to spectators and setting up, maintaining the demonstration cars.

I'm new to the hobby and am just getting my car today. Can you elaborate on some of the common parts that are prone to breakage?

Thanks!

There are quite a few things that can break but the ones that are most likely to go first are the knuckles and t-plates. Wheels break here and there and sometimes motor pods will get stress cracks from impacts and over tightened screws.

Xmas brought a few more cars to our growing mini-z family...4 of us now in the same house driving them. Also one has now upgraded to a new controller and a brushless set up. Next step is a needing a track. Look forward to seeing all the good people in the coming year. Thanks for letting me use one of the demonstrator cars.

Great to hear Ross. Don't be afraid to ask us questions. The race days will increase tour skills and knowledge greatly for the first year. Looking forward to see you in the new year.

thanks to Boca's christmas sale, all the demonstration cars have full bearings.

the demonstration car tool box has been outfitted with all the common tools, parts, etc. one would need for our stock class racing to include; stock parts, tires, bearings, tools, lock-tite, krazy glue, masking tape, sticky tack putty, batteries, chargers, etc.

Please note: all tools, glue, oils, tapes are available for club use. I ordered the kyosho mini-z tool set exclusively for club use tools as well.

Hi guys,

During the summer of last year I purchased an AMZ 2wd international kit to build and race with you guys. I was moving to VA in the Fall and I was hopeful that I'd have everything up and running by then. It's January 2016 and I realize now that this was a miscalculation on my part as my AMZ is only half built with no ET for completion. I would like to stop by tomorrow morning to test drive a demonstration car so I can make a decision on either going in another direction (i.e. Kyosho RTR/ARTR car) or forging ahead and finishing the AMZ build. Is tomorrow's HFAY race event a good time to do this? Or, should I come on a non race day to test drive a car?

-John

There are currently NO demo cars available. all demo cars were dissolved with the closing of Hobby Works Fairfax. I will be working on rebuilding the demo car fleet with the reopening of racing with Hobby Works Laurel.
