That Lotus looks like an awesome race shell!! I have one question, can the windshield be cut out and replaced with lexan? I know the top of the car would lose some rigidity, and weight loss doesn't seem necessary, but I need a place to shoot a lap counter through, and would prefer the clear windshield to a hole in the body somewhere.
I would like to see the
Koenigsegg CCGT
Both mustangs listed
The Audi r8
Some imports like stuff drive daily like a
99 civic hatch
Jdm integra
Eclipse 97-99
Some muscle
camaro
Charger 69
Barricuda
370z
The price depends on how much plastic is used for the print.
For a MZ size shell, it costs around $40 and for the dNano around $25.
This is why the lighter shell with the thinest walls the cheaper.
So far I made the walls quite thin: 0.9mm and yet sturdy, the lower limit for print is 0.7mm, while an injected plastic MZ shell is 1.5 to 2mm thick.
Parts like T plates, mounts, wheels, are way cheaper.
@Landon: that could be made in the design phase, say a pre-cutting line around the windows and a reinforcing rib under the window pillars.
Also I was thinking making the windows (still opaque) as a separate part to make the painting easier.
I hope some transparent material will be available at one point. People in the community are also asking for chrome plating. Thats good
Now testing the dNano H plate in the same material dyed in black.
A little soft with 1mm thick but the break point is way above the stock one. In fact it would fold but not brake (think soda bottle plastic).
