Properties of the Graphite grease
Hi Gentlemen,
Graphite grease is a high-end advanced technology product. Semi fluid grease integrates extreme pressures additives & finally dispersed graphite elemnts for loads carrying. It is primary intended for lubrication on rotating parts, as well as, for loaded gears, this magic grease is formulated superb adhesion and resistant to fling-off under extreme conditions, this grease definitely reduces wear and extends the life of parts.
Do to the high content of graphite it is a excellent conductive for electricity, used often on high tech equipment electrical contacts were good conductivity is required at the time, it also protects from corrosion & sulfating.
Well, I am a passionate user for graphite grease for a long time, on all moving & frictioning part in my R/Cs, since Ron Paris came out with his Ronny Grease about 15 years ago. It is the only grease, I use on my MA-0104WD differentials. Proof of this great product, is that I have never replaced a diff friction disc, ceramic diff balls on my MA-010 in about 3 years and they are ready for more years to come.
About 4 month ago, I replaced my steering servo VR Pot and at the time I was going to assemble the servo, I decided to spread some graphite grease to the area were the Pot wiper runs inside the VR Pot case & on the back side center pin. I figured it is a high conductive grease way not, in place of the Comm drop I have been using for years, but regularly had to open the steering servo guts in line to clean the VR Pot and add some Comm drop to eliminate the steering freaking shaking or jittering.
Well it has been a while now and my steering servo is as steady it can be, no shacking or jittering what so ever since the day a use the magic Graphite Grease.
I just wanted to share with you all this great experience about the properties offered by this magnificent graphite grease.
Sounds good, but do you pack the potentiometer with the grease, or do you just spread some over the metal parts?
I was a user of comm drops in the potentiometer too, until I started noticing that I had to add it more and more frequently. I switched to CRC Contact Cleaner, and am also getting very little servo jitter.

Hi MINIz guy 11.
Yep, that was my problem, so I had to disassemble the servo guts about once a month, in occasions two times. As I say, it has been @ four month and the steering is flat steady
I only spread it on the area were the Pot wiper slides thru the case. It is the area further in the Pot case back surface “inside the case near the inside edge”, were the wiper metal part are integrated and “touching“ this back face inside the case, and on the “outside back area” of the Pot case, where there is a center pin/shaft in contact with the center Pot power conductor/terminal. After the graphite grease is spreader, I move the wiper lift to right a few times to make sure is well spread.
Well difficult to explain, hope it is clear
Cheers

Hi Gigibesi
Read post #3 for application.
If it is Graphite grease, it is ok, no matter the brand. I know some brands make it black others dark green.
Cheers
