I was talking with my wife today about this. We want to come (this Saturday or the next, whichever) but unfortunately it will need to start more like 1:00 since Jaren has swimming in the morning. Don't know if that will work for you though.

I need to spend time on Jaren's car tonight. I bought some upgrades for it a few months ago but never installed them. I think I got him bearings all the way around, new disc damper, and I'm not sure what else.

We'll be there. I failed with Jaren's ball-diff upgrade. The crappy RM motor mount I had purchased is incompatible so I'll need to find a good mount next. Oh well, at least with the bearings and disc damper his car is much smoother and he's got a decent controller now.

Well, hopefully the Micro SCT will come out as 2.4 soon somewhat like this:

http://www.horizonhobby.com/Products...#quickOverview

I did look on youtube and saw several races with them on RPM track. They work very well. The low-cost DX3 is only $60 without receiver list price. Hence, you could be totally 2.4 on this with a radio that has use beyond just the Micro SCT for $160 or so. Hopefully we'll see that soon as I could be convinced to buy one for racing.

Actually, almost like this better which is mostly the same thing as the Micro SCT:

I'm getting sold on this watching the videos given it's already full-ball bearing equipped, lipo friendly out of the box (250 mah lipo they want $35 for but can be gotten for less than $8 each elsewhere). Really wish it was 2.4 but at least it would work with my current radios. I'm going to go ahead and sell some misc cars on ebay (xmod, xmod parts, etc...) and see if I can raise about $40 towards this and if so I'm going to go ahead and get one to try out.

I need to order a new motor. I should do that today so I can get it before we race again.

I had no luck selling my stuff so I'll hold off on the micro sct for now. They look like they would be fun to run around the track though.
