How to measure offset

The MR-01 I bought came with 2 sets of wheels. One set works well with the Reebok Skyline body, the other set rubs on the wheel wells. I assume that this the difference of the offset in the wheels. Both sets measure: Front = 8.5mm, Rear = 11.5mm. The difference is the slotted axle hubs on the wheels, looking at the back of the set that rubs, the axel hubs are longer than the set that came mounted. The question is how to tell on these wheels, if they are -1, 0, +1, +2, +3 offset. I want to buy other wheels and tires but I don't want to spend money on wheels that won't work, Thanks for any help!!!

I did a search and all I found were some charts but not how to measure unknown wheels. Thanks again

The reebock and other R32 skyline bodies are the only bodies that I know of that come with a negative rear offset.. of about -1mm... so if you put other WIDE rims on the rear of it.. it will rub.

The Width is either Narrow/Standard:8.5mm Semi-Wide:9.5mm or WIDE:11mm

I usualy just eyball the offset... you can tell the negative set by weather or not the center of the rim is flush with the outer diameter...

Also, if you know which body you are running/want to run, that chart is pretty accurate, I would just go with those numbers.

Edit: You know, I just realized my post might have been somewhat useless. You obviously know about the offset chart and you are asking how to measure offset of wheels that you already have...

My answer is, I don't know. Maybe you could post pictures of the wheels. If they are MR02 someone is bound to recognize them and know which car they belong to. Then you can find the offset. If they are stock AWD wheels it may be harder without another wheel to compare them to.

Measuring offsets on racer wheels is easy. Let's take a 3mm enzo rear offset for example. If you were to lay it face up on a table the distance between the back of the wheel and the table would be 3mm. Another way to put it is the "slotted axle hub" sticks out the back of the wheel 3mm. The R32 you have has a -.5mm offset stock(rear). You can only really go up to a 0mm offset wide wheel on the rear before you might have problems with clearance.

Thanks for the info, most charts I've seen are for known wheels. Now I know what to look for!
