HFAY Big Track December 2014
I need a quick consensus of the clubs that are going to run the HFAY Big Track and if your clubs have any space restrictions.
I'd like to design a new track for this race but need to know if anyone has limitations.
Let me know here as soon as you can.
thanks.

if you keep track about the same as before, we could probably accomodate 1 more meter in with and length (compared to previouskly BTE's) but not more than that.

Mini-AZ is scheduled to run the BTE. Our space has some odd shapes to it, but the primary 'usable' rectangle is 19 x 7 tiles. This can be pushed to 21 x 9 tiles if we cut off some walking space around the track and raise the car lift. Diagram of the space is attached. Red squares indicate areas we try to leave open.

Would it be possible to run the BTE the 2 of january 2015?
It has become a little tradition that we run this in the days after the x-mas holidays

That shouldn't be a problem I can process the times after you get yours in.

we booked the big room for BTE.. 11.5m x 6.5... i think that is about 37.7" x 21.3".... 23 x 13 tiles max
BTEs have always been about 3Ls + a wide turn kit.. let us know if we need to bring more.

Mini-AZ is scheduled to run it this Saturday for our last race of the year, so we need the layout soon.

Thanks Brian.
I read through the BTE 13 manual and noticed a couple things:
The Electronics section (Stock and F1) says "Kyosho ESC only". What about the PN boards? Some in my club are running those now.
The Tires section states silicone tires are allowed. I thought those damaged RCP track. If so, we should probably play it safe and take that out of the list.
There is nothing in there about gyros, but what are your thoughts on those (none at Mini-AZ have them at the moment)? For our 2015 club series and the ISRL I have specified a ban on 'driver aids' in everything except Open Class. I've never used a gyro, but in videos I've seen they appear to be pretty effective.

great catch on those. I'll get them corrected when I have a chance.
PN Spektrum boards are allowed.
Running a Gyro is not allowed.
Silicon tires is kind of a grey area as it depends on what is being used and if they owner of the track is Okay with their use.
so maybe leave that up to the club and add in something along the lines of making sure the tires used are approved for your track??
