I also asked about the AD band crystals availability, I was then asked to call them direct.
Guess i better wait for your pin configuraton! Thanks in advance!

I have the Mars-R and looking forward to replace with the AD band but still thinking about the pros and cons..
I would like to hear from you all.
thank you.
Master pchan0 is right. It doesn't cost much and there are alot of good things about the AD PCB. During my experience, i've noticed that the steering is by far the best i've used for mini-z applicaitons. I wish I had this kinda of steering in my 1/8th scale on-road car. The motor that I use is the atomic AD band motor for my AD band car; and this motor is fast enough for most track applications. The internal fets that come with the AD band car are 3010's. The throttle repsonse is smoother than the stock board that comes with the mini-z's. Its also a lot faster. The beauty of AD band is that the steering and throttle curves can be adjusted through your computer once you get the interlink and program provided by KO propo. We haven't received ours yet, but once we receive it, you can bet we'll be on my track trying out different configurations for both steering and throttle responses.

The only thing I find bad about the AD band is frequency ( AD crystals ) availabilty. Thats pretty much it. If you have access to AD crystals, then you're ahead of the game if you decide on the AD band PCB. Hope this helps.

the reason why I still haven't bought one is the fact that, the person in HK whom I asked to help me to get one couldn't find it in the store..

I will ask him to search again..

Ghetto Fabulous Racing sounds familiar. Hummm, Brandon Soubley rings a bell. So does his father, Byron. Local racers that race 1/10th scale electric. I know that Brandon is going to college at San Diego. I've known that guy since he was 6 years old.

Does anyone sell just the AD band PCBs? I bought the pack that had the board and the AD module for my Helios, but I'd rather not have to pay extra for multiple AD modules that I won't use... Any leads?

Good question. I haven't found any leads yet on that one. Maybe pchan0 may have some hook-ups.

Question AD Band Question for motors

is the atomic AD Band Motor the only motor you can use with the AD Band Electronics installed? Can you use an S04 or S03 as well?

I think that the S03 and S04 motors are too hot for the AD band. I had seen the AD band board burn-up using a modified motor. I know that you can upgrade the stock 3010 fets to the 4562 fets. I currently use the AD band motor and its plenty fast for racing.

Thanks dude... I better leave the fetting to the pros.. I've fried two stock boards already and I'd have to jump off the GG Bridge if I fry an expensive AD Band. Atomic AD Band it is.. the good thing is they aren't too expensive

miniz newbie: What radio system do you have? KO Mars ( EX-1 ) of the helios ( EX-10 ) ?? The reason why I ask is because they only make modules for these particular radios.
