I assume you have some idea of what that is? Not that i expect anyone to leak what that may be ahead of the show. From the video, looks like a G series truck of some kind. Funny if Kyosho released a new Overland Mini-Z, Brushless, EVO, and 4WD at that. I know the Jimny doesn’t have the same roof profile.

Probably a crawler of some kind... based on the video. Maybe a new overland?

Holy cow, I was actually right! I have to say, I actually never thought this would happen but very glad to see as this is what Overland should have developed into. They had to start somewhere...
But damn, there is always a catch. killing me here with yet another chassis specific FHSS board This all but rules this out for me, much to my disappointment. I would have otherwise bought several of these but not interested in carrying around another controller, it may be worthwhile for this... Let’s hope they eventually upgrade to EVO board.
I’m sure most will be thrilled with the introduction of a standard servo port to the board! Likewise interested to see what mini-z guys do with the servo, to big to use on mini-z platforms?
Also a bit disappointed in the change in scale such that none of the prior overland bodies are likely to be a fit? Perhaps you can check on this when you get yours John? I’m sure there will be plenty of 3D prints for body mounts being made to adapt 1/24 models.
Now what did I do with all those TSL Super Swamper tires from Overland kits...

one of the best things about the mini-z was being able to use the one controller with them all. with all the variants now, I think the EVO was a great option so people can use different Transmitters, but still only use one TX.
I think these 4x4's are going to be cool. I'm sure it'll be easy enough to swap the electronics with EVO board and Receiver to match preferred TX.

Since your will be our first to first hand experience, please let us know if that looks like it will be feasible. The new FHSS board is again proprietary to the chassis with a separate servo port. It may be a simply swap to EVO board if, and only if, it is a direct cross over to slice/port the EVO servo wires to a 5 pin plug. Also, the EVO board at first glance looks to be much longer and given it’s orientation, will suffer from the same constraints as the FWD, which required a new board holder/cover to accommodate EVO board. Likewise, it’s placed at the leading edge of the frame so anything that hangs out beyond this is potential conflict with body overhang. Won’t know till you see it though.
Really want to see how the Overland line scales to this. Would be a real shame to have wasted that lineup as it has some great bodies.

As far as the body goes, this is 1:18 scale platform, so doubt the Overland bodies will fit. Even if someone can modify the mounts, it might look rather odd being smaller then the chassis. I will have more answers to board and other questions, once my trucks arrive. Should be a few days.

Since this is different scale and being a crawler, don't think its a big deal not having EVO board. If your racing Mini-z, I can see having the EVO, but you most likely wont be running the crawler on a mini-z track and more on outside terrain, so having a separate transmitter for outside play, is not a big deal in my eyes. I know there will be others that disagree. Just my 2 cents.

I noticed they referred to the 4Runner as 1:24.
