Whatever happened to RCP Tracks?
whatever happened to the tracks that were supposed to be coming out from RCP? I see he still post but haven't seen any info since he emailed me and said he would get back with me on prices once they were out in Aug-Oct time frame. Anyone know how much these things are or have any IRL experience with them? The email I had I don't think he checks anymore and you can't pm him or email him from here?

Yep supose to be released now, but still no word on how much it will even cost yet...
Any longer and I am going to just give in and build my own out of the standard foam tiles... would be cheaper .

Dan, I still have all my email addresses and I try to reply to all of them within 24 hours. I find myself spending a good portion of the day responding to emails all over the world. I just received yours today and already replied.
At this time I am not selling the tracks direct, so the only pricing I could quote would be a guess, because I am currently drop shipping all the tracks to hobby stores across the US from California. It depends on where you live in relation to California and what store you buy from, which will determine the price. I can tell you the retail prices, but the hobby stores are not obligated to sell the tracks at these prices.
Retail pricing
Narrow Oval...$119 USD
Wide Oval ......$149 USD
Wide "L" Turn...$199 USD
The tracks where released here in the US last week. I am currently working on Kyosho's tracks for overseas sales. I would guess that they should have them available by the end of the year. I am designing two versions of the US RCP track for Kysoho sales overseas.
I have sent mini-zracer some sample tracks to try out. He might post his own comments on the tracks shortly. Ken Mifune will also be receiving his track shortly and he can give his comments as well.
I may have the tracks available through this forum store shortly. Mini-zracer has some great ideas for a track sale program, so that those that don't have access to a hobby store could possibly purchase through this site.

Ouch over $6.50 a tile...
The vast majority will want more than just a dinky 18 tile oval... so they will need to buy at least 4 track sets... at $119 each, $476... yea they had definatly better sell them cheaper than that! but we all know TOWER/Hobbico/GPlanes will NOT sell cheaper then sug retail LOL unless product is OLD and does not sell...
I KNOW I will want at least 130 tiles or so for my track... That would be over $840.00 !!
Because I am on a budget I will be opting for the standard floor tiles... as to were to find them... various places have it some said they found them at walmart, and cheap, but I have yet to find them there, found some at sams club... cheap, but they dont have many and they are usualy hidden in the store, and they are not in the computer search when you ask if they have them... I WAS going to get them right from the factory.. and group buy the standard tiles, but its not realy worth the time, cuz it would cost way too much to ship, and thus cost as much as the rcp track prices above anyway...

RCPMini-z, how goes it?
I sent an email inquiring about the borders, the possibility of aquiring these and how much?
When you saw the pictures of my track, you mentioned that I could use your borders (with some slight modification to my track) and that they would work wonderfully, I am kinda getting tired of the velcro coming off when the same spot gets hit many times by the cars.
Thanks

akura2, No, I didn't get the pictures. You can either post some of them at mini-zracer or just email me, again. You can send them to rcptracksinfo@sbcglobal.net. Thanks for your time. I think you have some of the best pic's from the show.

We got our RCP Tracks today, and so far, are amazed! I won't go into too much detail, as we'll be doing a full review shortly, but we assembled the small oval first and we're very, very impressed! We haven't finalized the Mini-ZRacer.com Shop pricing yet, but I can assure you that the tracks are exceptional value!
