They should be available some time this week according to PN's site. I've been checking everyday, but they still haven't been listed

I just checked with Philip and he said they arrive next Monday. I believe that means this Monday.

These gears, either the 64 pitch or super match, should be considered a first upgrade for mini-z. They are just as important as ball bearings. The original Kyosho gears are mismatched. They have .5M pitch on pinion, but a truncated .5M pitch gear for the spur. After couple of runs, you can already see excessive wear on the pinion. One time, I ran the pinion down to see what would happen. The noise got louder and louder. Soon it sounded like a group of people talking at the same time like in a party. It was late at night, with no one around. It sounded a little creepy. Even my wife said she heard people voice, but realize it was the car. Very strange.
I have been using steel gears from RS4, and they last a long time, but the super match or 64 pitch should be very durable and have better performance. Can't wait to try them.

will the spur gears fit the Kyosho F1 diffs with the same modification? or are these limited to on the Racer Diffs?

I coverted my f1 over to a 02 gearset this last raceday when i was searching for more rear traction. The Pn mount made the gear mesh much easier to set right.
It can be done using the PN motor mount but I do not think the stock mount will work unless you run a large track where a very large pinion gear is required.

Yes they do, most MR02 ball diffs use standard 3/32" dia. balls.

These gears run sooo quiet and are super smooth. I like the fact that you can manipulate gear ratios in smaller increments, but also can go VERRRY extreme on either direction as well. BIG THUMBS UP!!!

I agree. Got to run them for the first time this weekend. Smooth, quiet, stealth like.

Beware of the molding on these though. My only beef is that you have to scrape the injection molding spots on both sides with an x-acto knife. If this is not done, this makes the diff drag just slightly, not leading to as smooth diff action as with other spurs... Once this mod is complete, they are excellent, but in my opinion, are not direct bolt-ons since this material recessing has to be done...

i guess the next obvious question is, will this development translate to awd pinions, gears and spurs?
