i wet sanded my discs and the middle plate, and in the light, the parts now are a flat grey color, and the black/silver checker design is faded. But when i put the dps back together, theres way less friction than before. Is that the way a dps should be? or could i possibly have sanded the parts too much?
Nah you're good to go. Drive it and see if you like it. If you need more damping, go with a thicker fluid. The purpose of sanding the plates is to make the action smooth and consistent.
