The building I work in used to be a bakery.
In the basement, there is a platform that they used to use to stage sacks of flour and stuff that would come in through the sidewalk elevator. The platform is around 40 feet long, and 12 feet wide. We believe it will make an excellent track, but we need to put something over the 2x6s that it's made from.
We're thinking of single-ply cardboard (white side up) with choroplast sides, to keep the cars fromm going off the edge.
But I wonder...what surfaces have others used?
I don't know why, but it seems to me that chalkboard paint might be good...
