If you like the power switch at all there is no need to bypass it with the VE electronics as motor power does not pass through it.
Which transmitter with you be using it with? You will need to extend the steering endpoints to get lock to lock steering, you may always want/need to add some transmitting mixing to prevent a loss of signal.

nice conversion... question did you use the mr02 servo or the mr03 servo? if you used the 02, how did you solder the 3 wires to the pot? if 03 how did you secure the servo motor? i think the 02 & 03 servo motors are quite different...

using orignal(02) servo motor straight forward install onto board (as this z was 27mhz then 2.4ghz doing the ve conversion was a breeze)
yes theres a big difference between 02 & 03 servo motor
