Flysky NB4 vs Futaba 4PM

I'm purchasing a MR-03EVO. I'm looking at radios and I have come down to the Flysky NB4 and the Futaba 4PM. Everything I read says the NB4 is faster. Plus it has the color screen and I like the menus better. My problem is support and finding a receiver for the EVO. I can't find anything in the US.

The Futaba 4PM looks solid and it is readily available with the receiver.

I'm pretty new to Mini-Z but I really don't like the limited options of the stock 531 controller. My main reason for upgrading is to get some more control of the car. Not looking for crazy speed just yet but I do want something I can grow into. Thoughts??

I've been interested in the NB4 as well. I like that it's much more affordable than other options, has great performance and is a great design in general.

As you said though seems like the receivers are hard to come by, I think I've only seen them available from Kyosho and they aren't cheap.

Honestly been waiting for someone on the forums to pick one up to get their impressions as I'm ready to pull the trigger if it's as good as it seems.

Yeah, I was hoping this would be the place to get some first hand reports with a Mini-Z.

KWT bought the NB4 and is currently using it. You can check it out the next time he and Austin come to HW.

I should be at HobbyWorks on 11/9 and Murdertown on 11/23.
The steering is much faster than the EX-6 in MHS mode.
I like the NB4 so much that I am converting all my Mr03s to EVO boards. I will probably have some leftover chassis with ASF boards after Austin replaces is MR02s with the ones I move off of.

Cool, thanks for the heads up. I've been going through both manuals. Seems like the Futaba has more features. I was looking for a dead band adjustment for steering and not finding it on the NB4. Did I miss it?

Are you comparing EX-6 in MHS mode with a VE Pro or an MHS-receiver EVO?

I was comparing the same EVO chassis driven with both an EX-6 and a NB4. I just swapped receivers between runs
