Ok, Now that I have the OL, I have been searching high and low for alternative bodies and wheels. I have 2 on the way and one I am the winning bidder. BUT I have not stopped looking and have come accross this in the easy auction site. it is number 3147844024 . Just thought i would share .

The wheelbase is the biggest problem, even with the OL set to the longest, most models are still to long, so unless you have model skills, becareful what you get. I have a monster Truck USA-1 model and the wheelbase is way to long for the OL chassis, it would require alot of work, really not worth it, I like my yota better anyways. The yota did require removing a 1/4" from the back doors, but this only required one splice so it wasn't to bad.
Aoshima models seem to be good canidates for this. They are made of thick poly and the hoods don't open and the accessories glue on in predrilled holes. Also aoshima makes quite a few suv's and trucks.

so far ebay seems to be the best source, you know it's in stock un like some other places, just make sure you check shipping, I have seen a couple sellers on there that are in the states. I just picked up a landcriuser on there for 21.50 shipped.

FYI - I have a lift-up kit thats going to go on there today, and yes it has the swampers.

I forgot to mention the landcruiser model I got is for a different project, it's 1/20th scale way to big for an OL, so remember check to see what scale the model is.

I can hardly wait! Now if I could just find a Range Rover anywhere besides the Aoshima's old style body, I would really be in business. It must be a licensing thing, because it has been impossible for me to find a Range Rover 4.0/4.6 plastic body close to scale let alone ANY rover body or kit or anything. Very frustrating.

I ordered one of these from best1hobby.com for about 26 bucks.

AO20739 AOSHIMA 1/24 Toyota Hilux Surf Lift Up Pick Up

They seemed to have plenty of them. I haven't received mine yet, but I'm counting the days 'till I can get my hands on those tires.

Link to item:AO Yota

You might want to cancel your order if you've been waiting that long the tires are discountinued and I've discovered alot of model companies won't tell you that, I have a shop here that swears there gonna get me one....HAHAHA

I may have two more of the lift up kits, it's the four door truck.
It seems my almost brother in-law may be backing out on a deal we made to buy some of these kits, and since it's on my credit card I get stuck with the models, I don't mind they seem to sell really easy, I'm kinda annoyed with the fact that I won't have another OL to chase around The Overland Playground.

So if anybody is interseted, email me, and if he decides he doesn't want them, then I'll figure a price, I just want to break even so I'll have to see what paypal takes. Man these things are getting so hard to find, I about had to call randomly to japan and ask somebody to look for them...

Hmm. Well they said the kit was shipped today and my card has been billed accordingly. Do you guys really think they are pulling my leg? The kit shows that it is available and ready to ship on their site. It's not like I have it on backorder or anything.
