New Kyosho Mini-Z F1 Product
No, it doesn't have any wheels or tires. It's a Mini-Z F1 race boat. This new product should be available here in the US sometime around May of 2005. It will come with a NiMH battery pack and battery charger. The Mini-Z F1 race boat is very fast and runs like the real circuit boats, but in small scale form.
For the last 6 months, we have been working with Kyosho on a track for this special boat. You can see a picture below of one of our prototype RCP F1 boat tracks sitting on top of Kyosho's office building in Japan. We made some custom buoys for the track just like the real F1 circuit. The buoys can be arranged to match current track layouts used in the World F1 circuit.
The picture below is only a prototype. The production bodies will have a custom gloss paint scheme. Kyosho is working on paint schemes for the boats taken right from the world F1 circuit. They are working with such teams as Liger and Tamoil along with a few others for what should be some very nice bodies. You can see some of the paint schemes from the circuit along with information on the world tour by following the link below.
http://www.f1boat.com/index.shtml
We will be testing the boat, here in the US, within the next few weeks. More information to follow.
We are currently working on a custom boat track for the Kyosho RCX 2005 booth from which the public may be able to test drive one of these racers, along with Kyosho's other Mini-Z products.

hmmm...wonder if the battery setup will make its way to an MR03....and maybe we'll see a hitch kit.
TNB, looks like your F1/monster hybrid will have another vehicle in tow.
I think we'll see a bunch of those on this forum...it seems a bit cooler than the sunseeker. Maybe they'll dive into the sport fishing boats and I can get the 48 cabo I've had my eye on. though I guess it would be a but small to run to the canyon

The battery set up in the new F1 boat looks like the same set up as in my other Kyosho boat--perhaps, they are interchangeable and have the same type of charging set up.

with teh makeshift pods RCP has done in the past this was more or less my guess. How about adding soem one design sail boats. that would be awesome.
michvin...I've been dying for a z-sized buggy....and add soem RCP tiled with doubles, triples, tabletops....ohhhhh man. since I got back into this hobby about 6 months ago...1:10 buggy is still my favorite thing to race.

yeah thats the one...but I think the F1 boats are more like 35 feet and the sunseeker is 60 so scale wise the components might be similar.

I don't believe the board is anything like the Predator board, but more like a Mini-Z board, with a 27 mhz interchangeable crystal. From what I can see the 1:1 F1 boats are not much bigger than a standard truck, so the scale of the Mini-Z F1 boat should be close to 1/20 - 1/24, in my opinion. It looks a lot better sitting on the trailer behind the Overland than the Predator does, since the Predator is 1/90 scale. I have one on the way and should be here next week, so I will be able to answer more questions about the specifics at that time.
